The Cape Agulhas Lighthouse is the second oldest
lighthouse in South Africa still in operation. It was
erected in 1849. Visitors are well advised to visit the
Lighthouse Museum housed inside the lighthouse. A
steep climb to the top rewards the brave visitor with
a spectacular panoramic view. The lighthouse also
accommodates a restaurant.
